In October 2023, I was invited by Goldsmiths University to give lectures, workshops, and tutorials to MA students studying art and design.

 

In the lecture, I addressed the difficulties of integrating with local communities as a non-native speaker, outsider, or immigrant, and how I overcame these challenges through volunteering, political campaigning, and poetry reading at open-mic events organized by local writing groups. The lecture was divided into three parts:

 

1. The constitutional, cultural, and linguistic impediments to integration.

2. The breakthrough.
